My family loves Indian dishes and this classic Butter Chicken recipe is tops at our house. Full of aromatic flavors, nothing beats sitting down at the end of the day to this great curry dish served with Basmati rice and warm Naan. This dish can also be vegetarian or vegan depending on your dietary preferences. Have kids in the house? Turn this meal into a naan pizza for them. Spread a little sauce on the naan, sprinkle with rice, and cover with chicken and sauce. Also a great leftover idea the next day.

Indian Butter Chicken

Homemade Indian Butter Chicken served with Basmati rice

Ingredients

  • Skinless chicken breasts
  • Tomatoes
  • Ginger garlic paste
  • Butter
  • Heavy Cream
  • Yogurt
  • Nut butters; Almond and Cashew
  • Water
  • Kashmiri Lal Mirch
  • Blend of spices; garam masala, kasuri methi, cumin, coriander

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Loosen tinfoil lid and reheat main course for 35-40 minutes, stirring midway through. At the same oven temperature reheat rice, with tinfoil lid on, for 30 minutes.
    Suggest serving with Naan which can be added on. To heat Naan for 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees. Spread with either butter or olive oil, sprinkle with garlic salt for savory or cinnamom sugar for sweet.
